Kitchen Renovations
The Kitchen Your Home Deserves
The kitchen is the heart of your home — where meals are made, conversations happen, and families gather. If yours is feeling cramped, dated, or just doesn't work the way it should, a well-planned renovation can completely transform how you use the space.
At Linor Custom Home, kitchen renovations are our number one speciality. Tom is a qualified cabinet maker who designs and builds custom cabinetry in-house — not off a shelf. That means your kitchen is built to fit your exact space, your storage needs, and your style. No compromises, no generic flat-pack solutions.
We manage every aspect of the renovation — demolition, plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, benchtops, splashbacks, appliance installation, and painting. One team, one point of contact, and complete transparency from quote to completion.

What We Do
Every kitchen we build is designed from scratch to suit your home, your cooking style, and your budget.
Full Kitchen Renovations
Complete strip-out and rebuild — new layout, cabinetry, benchtops, splashbacks, plumbing, electrical, and appliances. We transform kitchens from tired to extraordinary.
Custom Cabinetry
Designed and built by Tom — a qualified cabinet maker. Soft-close drawers, custom pantry pull-outs, overhead cabinets, and island cabinetry built to fit your exact space. No flat-pack, no compromises.
Stone Benchtops
Caesarstone, natural stone, or engineered quartz — templated and installed with precision. We work with Melbourne's best stone fabricators to deliver benchtops that look stunning and last a lifetime.
Splashbacks & Tiling
Subway tiles, large-format porcelain, glass panels, or feature mosaics. The splashback ties your kitchen together — we help you choose the right material and install it flawlessly.
Plumbing & Electrical
Licensed plumbers and electricians coordinated by Tom. Relocating gas lines, adding power points for appliances, installing under-cabinet LED lighting, and moving sinks — all handled seamlessly.
Kitchen Design & Planning
Not sure where to start? We help you plan the layout, maximise storage, choose materials, and select appliances that work together. Practical advice based on 10+ years of building kitchens — not just showroom theory.
How It Works
Our Kitchen Renovation Process
A kitchen renovation is a big decision. Here's how we make it smooth and stress-free from start to finish.
Free In-Home Consultation
Tom visits your home to see the existing kitchen, understand how you use it, discuss what you want to change, and talk through layout options, materials, and budget. No obligation.
Design & Quote
We provide a detailed quote breaking down every cost — demolition, cabinetry, benchtops, splashbacks, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and painting. You approve the full scope before we start.
Demolition & Prep
We strip out the old kitchen, dispose of waste, and prepare the space — structural repairs, plumbing rough-in, electrical rough-in, and any wall modifications for the new layout.
Cabinetry & Benchtop Install
Custom cabinetry is installed, followed by stone benchtop templating and fitting. This is where your kitchen starts to come to life. Tom oversees every millimetre of the install personally.
Splashback, Appliances & Finish
Splashback installation, appliance fit-out, tapware, sink, painting, and all finishing touches. A thorough clean-up, final walkthrough with you, and your new kitchen is ready to cook in.
Why Choose Us
Why Melbourne Homeowners Trust Us With Their Kitchens
Cabinet maker on-site, not just a project manager. Most kitchen renovators outsource the cabinetry. Tom builds it himself as a qualified cabinet maker. That means your kitchen isn't assembled from a catalogue — it's crafted to fit your exact space, down to the last millimetre.
Owner on every job. Tom doesn't disappear after the quote. He's on-site throughout the build, managing trades, checking quality, and communicating with you directly. No call centres, no middlemen.
All trades coordinated. A kitchen renovation touches plumbing, electrical, gas, tiling, plastering, and painting. We coordinate every trade so you don't have to chase anyone or wonder what's happening next. One team, one schedule.
Transparent, fixed-price quotes. Our quotes itemise every element — cabinetry, benchtops, splashbacks, appliance installation, plumbing, electrical, painting. You see exactly what's included before any work begins. No surprise invoices at the end.
Kitchens that actually work. We've built enough kitchens to know what works and what doesn't. We'll help you avoid common layout mistakes, choose materials that hold up in a real kitchen, and make storage decisions you'll appreciate every day — not just on handover day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Kitchen Renovation FAQ
How much does a kitchen renovation cost in Melbourne?
A full kitchen renovation in Melbourne typically ranges from $20,000 to $50,000+, depending on the size, materials, and complexity. A standard kitchen with quality cabinetry, stone benchtops, and new appliances usually falls in the $25,000 to $40,000 range. A cosmetic refresh — new doors, benchtop, and splashback without changing the layout — can start from around $12,000. We provide a detailed, itemised quote after your free consultation.
How long does a kitchen renovation take?
Most full kitchen renovations take between 3 and 6 weeks from demolition to completion. The timeline depends on scope — a straightforward renovation with no layout changes is faster, while custom cabinetry, structural work, or waiting on benchtop templating can extend the timeline. We provide an exact schedule before starting so you can plan around it.
Can I keep using my kitchen during the renovation?
During a full renovation, you won't have access to your kitchen for most of the build. We recommend setting up a temporary kitchen area — a microwave, kettle, and portable cooktop in the laundry or dining room works well. We'll give you clear notice before disconnecting any services and always aim to minimise downtime.
Do you supply the appliances?
We can work either way. Many clients prefer to choose and purchase their own appliances — we'll provide the exact specifications needed so everything fits perfectly. We can also source and supply appliances through our trade accounts if you'd prefer a one-stop-shop approach. Either way, we handle all installation.
What benchtop materials do you offer?
We work with all major benchtop materials including Caesarstone, engineered quartz, natural stone (granite, marble), solid timber, and laminate. Engineered stone is by far the most popular choice for Melbourne kitchens — it's durable, heat-resistant, and available in a huge range of colours and finishes. We'll help you choose the right material for your style and budget.
Can you renovate my kitchen without changing the layout?
Absolutely. Keeping the existing plumbing and gas layout is the most cost-effective approach. We can completely transform the look and feel — new cabinetry, benchtops, splashback, fixtures, and lighting — without moving any pipes. It's a great option if your layout works but the finishes are dated.
What suburbs do you service?
We renovate kitchens across Melbourne's inner-city and south-east suburbs, including Caulfield, Malvern, Brighton, St Kilda, Elsternwick, Carnegie, Bentleigh, Prahran, South Yarra, Toorak, Hawthorn, Richmond, and surrounding areas.
What's the difference between custom cabinetry and flat-pack?
Flat-pack kitchens use standard-sized modules that you work around — you adapt your kitchen to the cabinets. Custom cabinetry is the opposite — the cabinets are built to fit your space exactly. That means no filler panels, no wasted space, and proper solutions for awkward corners, narrow gaps, and under-sink areas. The quality of materials, hardware, and construction is also significantly higher with custom builds, and they last decades rather than years.
